Grounds for Divorce
It is always said that getting married is the easy part, but staying married takes a lot of work. You must be willing to work hard for your marriage and thinking of a divorce should be the last thing on any of your minds. If all fails and I do mean all, you then have no option but to part ways instead of making each other miserable. This is when you look for grounds for divorce.
I can't say that most people who get divorce part ways as friends at first, but they do later on especially if there is a child involved become friends. Grounds for divorce usually checks in play when you have to go in front of a judge and explain the reason you have decided you must part ways. The judge will then decide whether you are both at wrong or whether one of you gets awarded more or just equal share of what you had together. Of course if there is a child is involved the judge will think of their needs first before yours.
There are different reasons why one must get a divorce; this is what is known as ground for divorce. One of the couple might have been unfaithful or abusive and this led to them coming to court. If it is minor reason, such as you can't stand the person or are just tired of listening to them nagging, then the judge will probably advice for marriage counseling first before giving you a divorce.
Try all other options first before reaching out for a divorce. Marriage counseling would probably be what you need, however if you are in an abusive marriage I say that you ask for a divorce right away.
